The Minister for Livestock Development Hon. Dr. Mohamed Abdi Kuti, EGH, MP launched the vaccination campaign in North Eastern Province at Dujis Constituency (Saka Site) on 12th Sept 2009.Previously on 10th September 2009 he had lauched similar campaign in Kieni East District, Central Province .This exercise is one of the steps by the Ministry to minimize the spread of livestock diseases that results from movement of livestock by pastoralists in search of water and pasture due to the looming drought in the country.
Other regions for the vaccination launch include:
Narok(Suswa) in East Mau Division at Nairegia Enkare site on 15/09/09.
West Pokot Kunyao and Kongelai sites on 17/09/2009.
We call upon all livestock keepers to bring their livestock for vaccination!
