The Vision of the Ministry is "to be the Regional Leader in facilitation and delivery of efficient and effective services for a sustainable and prosperous livestock sub-sectors".

Mission:
The mission of the Ministry is "to create a favourable legal framework for the sustainable development of the livestock  industry; and to provide support services that increase productivity, value addition and market access for the sub- sector products".
